2012 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
Join Team United and help make a difference in our community
The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5K Run/Walk is a signature event in our city, drawing thousands of runners every year who are seeking a challenge. This year, we’re challenging you to join us and run for our community as part of Team United. Last year, almost 100 runners helped raise close to $24,000 for the cause — together, we know we can surpass that amount this year and raise $30,000.
For the fourth year in a row, United Way Toronto is an Official Charity of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, happening on Sunday, October 14, 2012. When you choose United Way Toronto as your charity of choice, 100% of your fundraising dollars will benefit the community. Participating is a great alternative to our other events, the Enbridge CN Tower Climb for United Way and the Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way and allows you to contribute to your workplace campaign.
A flat and fun run anyone can participate in!
The event’s flat and fast features are a real draw for first-time and experienced runners alike. Reach your best time or just run for fun — it’s entirely up to you. Even power walkers or slower runners love the event’s course because of its six-hour and 30-minute time limit. The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is also a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
